In-Depth Analysis

1.- Stop Drinking

The opening track presented by "Fake Plastic." They bring us a song with a beautiful satire of drunkenness but with a very real message. Sooner or later, we must stop getting drunk because, despite how good it feels, we waste our lives on it. We convince ourselves that we can quit, but we always put it off until tomorrow, perpetually repeating this thought until the point where everything is ruined, and yet we're okay because we're drunk. Ironically, the song itself is an invitation to get drunk due to its pleasant style and its cheerful, catchy rhythm.

The song itself is a throwback to the pure rock style that we could hear in bars during the 90s and 2000s, with its instrumental structure closely resembling the sway of a good drinking spree, accompanied by a voice that reminds me of that friend who says, "I'll be fine, I'm not drunk. If I were drunk, could I do this?" The guitars perfectly adorn the atmosphere, having a conversation with the drums with style. The solo in the middle of the song is undoubtedly surprising because it's very good and complements the aesthetic of "Fake Plastic" perfectly.

2.- How I learned to let go

The second composition of the album radiates an inherent energy from its opening chords, in harmony with the momentum set by the initial song, inviting you to dance to the rhythm of a charismatic bass that gracefully guides the beat. The guitars in the verse will surely make you nod your head and wish to be in some mysterious chase and epic escape movie, breaking into a captivating chorus, conveying an enticing darkness that invites you to immerse yourself in it and let go. "How I learned to let go" urges us to free ourselves from our concerns, to let go and embrace our authenticity.

3.- Endless No.

The drums in this third Track takes the center stage and dominate the rhythm, creating an atmosphere that inspires you to feel relaxed and full of energy, something characteristic of indie rock. The guitar and bass riff in "Endless No" will make you feel like you have wings, giving you the ability to fly through a space imagined by the song itself. "Endless No" tells us how life can sometimes be very unkind to us, and we may not even find the motivation to keep going, living as if we were going in circles. Despite this, we can move forward if we enjoy life, just like we enjoy the yellow glow of a full moon.

4.- I Shot the living Zombie

The fourth song on the album has a bluesy and Western-inspired style, captivating the listener from the very first second. "I shot the living zombie" is a perfect song to describe an Old West scenario filled with zombies, riding on horseback under the sunset with a shotgun on your shoulder, traversing lush forests and killing zombies in the process. The harmony between the guitar and bass gives this song a unique style that stands out and gets stuck in your head the moment you hear it, prompting you to get carried away by the melodic layers and also inviting you to grab a beer and enjoy, making this song one of the most memorable on the album.

5.- What should I be scared of?

A melancholic guitar Melody opens the fifth song of "Fake Plastic," making you think that the song will be a ballad. But you’ll definitely with change your mind as it progresses. In reality, "What should I be scared of?" is a song with an impressive melodic variety. If we could describe it in one word, it would be ‘evolution’. Despite respecting the structure maintained throughout the entire album, this song captivates you by constantly changing the rhythm, adding and removing layers, using major and minor notes with mastery and style.

6.- Coloured Boats

The deep sound of the guitar reverberates in the air, dancing to the rhythm of the drums and the bass, opening the sixth song of the album with an ambient and peaceful sound that envelops you through the stereo channel. The song's lyrics transport you to plains overlooking the sea, which is full of colorful boats and the sky filled with fighter planes. It's a beautiful view adorned by the melody of "Coloured Boats," but it's also cruel. The message conveyed by Till brings with it the horrors of war, narrated with poetic beauty that often leads us to ignore it throughout the song and instead, enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. The song stands out with its unique beauty and absorbs us into it, guiding us on a journey that breaks into a guitar solo that transports us to the sky, traveling among the clouds and savoring the moment.

7.- I had callers

The seventh song on the album returns with its crispy guitar. An epic guitar solo with a very sensual rhythm takes center stage in the song, seizing the ears of the listener and leading them to enjoy the purest style of rock. "I had callers" is a perfect song for driving at night, being with friends, and enjoying under the moonlight, embracing the rhythm and letting yourself be carried away.

8.- Who stole the alphabet?

If you were looking for a song to become deeply obsessed with, you're in the right place. "Who stole the alphabet?" has everything it takes to capture your attention, starting with its captivating drums, sexy guitar riff, and voices that fill all the space. The song draws us in and compels us to listen more. The song's verse, guided by a pulsating and enveloping bass, complements Till's vocal line perfectly, as its catchy rhythm will leave a lasting impression. The eighth song on the album has the perfect duration to leave us wanting more, making us feel the need to listen to it again and again.

9.- Black eyed girl

Black-eyed girl" is a song that could be a perfect soundtrack for a movie about cowboys in search of romance. The ninth song on the album delights us with a slow and steady yet invigorating rhythm, telling a story between a man and a woman who could shatter the concept of love they've known up to that point. This song will make those who love alternative rock dream.

10.- Lover you are down

The final song on the album is made for dancing, for letting loose, for being yourself. "Lover you are down" is a blend of many styles. With a heart of rock & roll and punk influences, the song's verse takes us by the arm and guides us to a circle to dance with all kinds of demons and let ourselves be carried away by a guitar solo that reaches the heart and sets everything on fire.

"Fake Plastic" is a true emotional journey brought to life by Till and Pete, showing us once again that rock is not dead but has grown even stronger. The album has a special structure that takes us through different perspectives on life, urging us to enjoy and live to the fullest, whether that involves getting drunk (or perhaps not) and being ourselves. "Fake Plastic" as a band has a lot of untapped potential, and with this album, they demonstrated their versatility and songwriting prowess, leaving at least this writer eager for more.
