Dominic Romano and Tall Acre release their new single "Framework": Love and perseverance as the foundations of a new beginning.

You may have heard his name before. Not only all over the internet, where he has caused a stir with his wonderful creations and deep messages that manage to transform people through his melodies, but if you are one of our loyal followers, you surely already know him. Dominic Romano, who is already one of our most beloved artists here at Bad Wolf Records, returns with an exciting new release where once again the magic of his music combines with his artistic sensitivity to bring this new chapter in his musical career to life.

Under the captivating title of "Framework," the talented singer and songwriter based on the sunny shores of Northern California presents his latest studio release, which arrives as a direct continuation of "Friend," a successful collaboration with Lucie Glang that saw the light in January 2024, which has accumulated more than 90,000 streams on Spotify to date.

Following this great success, Dominic returns this time doubling down once again, as this new song features the participation of Tall Acre, a prominment British music producer who has collaborated in the creation, performance, and mastering process of this wonderful piece. In it, both artists manage to shape and color a spectacular and profound narrative that teaches us an important message of love and perseverance.

But before we continue, if you're not yet familiar with Dominic's music, we invite you to keep reading to learn more about his career as an artist.

About the Artist:

Dominic Romano emerges as a unique figure in the contemporary music scene by blending acoustic tones with top-tier pop productions. His distinctive approach is evident in the synthesis of reflective lyrics, supported by catchy and sustained melodies. Romano stands out as an artist whose authenticity is reflected not only in his creations but also in his experience as a producer, where he has left an indelible mark by collaborating with other great folk artists. This showcases his unbreakable connection to music and consistently presents an authentic reflection of his art.

His authorial approach and his ability to blend classic elements with contemporary resources create a sound identity in constant evolution. This shows that authenticity as a characteristic is not something acquired, but rather an innate phenomenon.

In this way, Dominic has consolidated his presence in the music scene for several years, and his entry as an artist only confirms his skill. His lyrics, rich in meaning, intertwine with the harmonious melodies that characterize him, creating a sonic landscape that invites reflection while resonating in our hearts. His style evokes reminiscences of notable artists like The Weepies, Joshua Radin, and Iron & Wine, yet classifying his style remains an incredibly difficult task. Romano goes beyond, employing not only acoustic tones but also expressing the colors of his own emotions in his songs; each note is a vibrant expression of his dedication to creating an unforgettable auditory experience.

About The Release:

"Framework," officially released on June 14th, establishes itself as his second release of the year, adding a valuable piece to his extensive and distinguished discography.

Co-written with Tall Acre, the creation process of this song took place across two locations. Starting from Dominic's studio in Eureka, California and all across the ocean to the United Kingdom, at Tall Acre's studio. However, the distance evidently posed no problem for both musicians with expertise in composition and musical creation. On the contrary, they have managed to align their efforts to create a truly captivating piece that reveals their inherent creative compatibility.

“There’s nothing quite like collaborating with another producer – getting to co-create with Tall Acre was a joy and the sound and story we made is something I’ll remain proud of for a long time.”

Dominic Romano - Singer, Songwriter & Music Producer

“Framework is a journey through love and the pace of life's changes. It’s about holding onto that deep love, even as we transition through different stages of life.”

Tall Acre - Singer, Songwriter & Music Producer

Track Analysis:

For those already familiar with Dominic's music, "Framework" is such a great surprise right from the start. Although the warm sound of his guitars, played with his distinctive and polished arpeggio technique, is present in the first few seconds, it's not his voice we hear first. Instead, the listener is greeted by a deeper, yet equally beautiful and delicate interpretation: Tall Acre's voice. This unexpected opening may startle those who were expecting Dominic's voice from the beginning, but the perfect melodic synergy between them quickly becomes evident.

This surprising introduction creates a sense of deeper introspection, as the voices of both singers are presented as a conversation, together narrating this exciting story and reinforcing its meaning. Furthermore, their vocal styles, while having some similarities, contrast wonderfully in tone and timbre, intertwining to offer a truly impressive and dynamic start.

"Framework" immerses listeners in an emotional story where a couple celebrates a significant milestone in their lives: the beginning of a new chapter in their love story as they arrive at their new home. Acre and Romano, with meticulous attention to every detail in their lyrics, manage to paint a vivid picture of this scene, inviting the listener to imagine each frame of the story as if it were a film. The strong emotions that the protagonists experience are palpable and even contagious, transmitting those feelings to the listeners. This new home, more than just a space, is destined to be filled with stories and unforgettable moments.

While this song has a tangible narrative structure in terms of the sequence of events, we should not solely focus on the progression of its story. We have to keep in mind that Dominic is a true genius in the use of metaphors that are not always perceptible at first glance, and this song is the perfect reflection of that.

In "Framework," it is recounted how this new home clearly symbolizes the way a relationship is gradually built over time, where the emotion, love, and dedication are its foundations, while effort, commitment, and perseverance are the aspects that will keep it standing throughout the years.

From a technical perspective, Dominic's masterful production techniques shine once again. Instead of merely creating a spectacular mix, he manages to build strong layers of sounds that rest upon each other without obstructing their space within the stereo field. These sounds have enough room to breathe and enough presence to be "felt" beyond just being audible. Tall Acre, a master in the art of mastering, adds the final touches so that these layers resonate from your chest to each of your senses.

The beautiful and inspiring message captured in this song manages to create a significant breakthrough in the minds and feelings of listeners who hear it attentively. It presents a comforting perspective on love itself, which goes even further than teaching us how to cope with the ups and downs of a relationship and highlighting the core values necessary for it to thrive. Instead, it also resonates with solitary souls as well, who await a particular event (like a new home, meeting someone new, or moving to another city) to begin enjoying and living life day by day.

'Framework' shows us how, regardless of the moment or situation we find ourselves in, the present time is always the most precious thing we have, because to get where we are right now, we had to traverse a long path of effort and dedication. Even when you may think you're not at your best, the "here and now" is still the perfect instance to begin appreciating what we have built, to establish the foundations of our own lives, and to embrace the warmth of the home within our own souls.
